NC to continue House obstruction

Kathmandu, May 16: The Nepali Congress is prepared to continue the House meeting obstruction today also.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire has called the House meeting for today and DPM and Home Minister, Rabi Lamichhane, is scheduled to present some important bills. However, the NC is planning to obstruct today’s House meeting.

The NC’s bottom line is to obstruct the House until the formation of a parliamentary probe committee on the cooperatives fraud.

K.P. Sharma Oli and Rabi Lamichhane are against such a probe committee.

It seems the NC will continue obstructing the House meeting. Meanwhile, the government should present the budget for the new fiscal year by May 28. If the NC continues obstruction of the House, it will be difficult to meet the deadline for the government in the presentation of the budget.

Meanwhile, reports state that if the NC continues the House obstruction, the government may end the House session and present the budget through an ordinance.

On the other hand, NC is saying that it would launch street agitation if brought the budget through an ordinance.
