
Kathmandu, May 14: The Supreme Court has launched a system for registering cases online and automatically sending payment notices from today. Inaugurating the service today, Chief Justice Bishambar Prasad Shrestha expressed his belief that registering a case online would be easy, simple and convenient for remote people.
Chief Justice Shrestha, mentioning that the online case registration system developed by the Information Technology Branch of the Supreme Court is gradually being implemented in the High Courts and District Courts, requested everyone to cooperate in order to make this achievement a success.
“Information technology makes us transparent, this technology has been used to bring access to justice to the common man and the marginalized people,” he said, “Now all writs and cases will be registered online, it should be successful.”
With the use of this system, it is expected that there is no need to physically attend the court to register a case, it is possible to register a case in the court even if you are far away from the court, and it is expected that the time and cost of attending the court to register the case will be reduced.
In addition, the court expects that no fee should be paid for using the system when registering a case, registration of cases will gradually become paperless, a digital missile will be created and record management will be easier.
