Kathmandu, 4 May: India has proposed Naveen Srivastav’s name as the new Indian ambassador to Nepal.
The Hindustan Times publishing from Delhi has reported quoting the Indian External Affairs Ministry sources.
Srivastav is the chief of the East Asia Desk and is known to be an expert on China affairs.
Indian ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra has been promoted as the foreign secretary. He has already assumed office. The Ambassador’s post has remained vacant since Kwatra was promoted by the Indian government.
