Good news in a bad climate

BABBLES

By Babbler

Different security organs have decided to procure clothes necessary for the security personnel from local industries.

The Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army were using imported clothes needed for the dress of the security personnel. The nation was spending billions of rupees on imports of clothes for them. At least, the government has taken a good decision from which we can save from spending foreign currency for import of clothes and in the meantime the nation will be encouraging local industries.

If the schools and campuses will also think about using locally produced textiles for the dress and also if the government decides to provide dress for the civil servicemen manufactured in the country, let’s assume, how much foreign currency can we save!

The nation cannot be prosperous without a vision!

This is the election time

Secularist Gagan Thapa has extended greetings on the auspicious occasion of the Maha Shivaratri festival on 1 March.

Just recently, he had lambasted Lord Pashupatinath and he was severely criticized by the Hindu followers.

Perhaps, considering the upcoming elections, he has decided to extend greetings to the Hindu followers as the Christian votes alone are not enough to win the election!

Coincidence

On the day when the MCC was ratified by Parliament, Nepal received agrimo for its ambassador named for the USA. Now, Shreedhar Khatri is going to be designated ambassador to the US. Besides, seven bulls arrived from the US. These are the coincidence related to the MCC grant project.

Surya Subedi is great!

Finally, Surya Subedi, a constitutional expert based in London, came to rescue Prachanda, as the latter said it.

Subedi gave the formula of the “explanatory note” to rescue Prachanda and Madhav Nepal from the present crisis of losing power that they are enjoying by forming an alliance.

Madhav Nepal the other day, lauded that he had failed the Oli conspiracy to finish the 14 MPs once he fingers-crossed!

QUOTES OF THE WEEK

  • Due to the violent conflict waged by the Maoists on someone’s mission, Nepal’s social structure, village structure, Nepal’s heritage, culture, religion, unity, harmony have been destroyed and the country has been pushed back in development for decades.

Bhimarjun Acharya

  • There is no greater ‘explanatory comment’ than power! Nepali politics without ‘ethics’ where the people are considered fools!

Babita Basnet

  • The treacherous provision of the MCC agreement is to deceive the people by claiming that the government’s unilateral resolution or ‘explanatory remarks’ are true. It is like the ‘resolution proposal’ of the Mahakali Treaty, kicking the motherland by devotion to foreigners for vested power interests.

Dr Bhim Rawal

  • All the nationalist, moderate, cultural identity forces of Nepal should be united under the leadership of Rajendra Lingden, who is leading the fundamental politics centered on the soil of Nepal.

Pankaj Chand “Nigam”

  • Whether it is a treaty or an agreement, an attempt to trample on the dignity of the country and the self-respect of the Nepali people, it is a crime to protest by mentioning it in detail, but I am proud to be called a criminal. Qualifications, degrees and PhDs are not required to commit such crimes.

Madhav Acharya

  • Fear of leaving the government Prachanda and Madhab have agreed to pass the MCC and Oli’s bargaining for removal of 14 MPs are the evidence that how the communists are playing with the international prestige and critical geopolitical situation of the nation on their pity interests.

Dambar Khatiwada

  • Have the nationalists Prachanda, Madhav, Upendra and Jhalanath Kajees become ready to take a bath in cold water?

Roshan Khadka

In the history of the country, the wrong tradition of seeking foreign aid began. The main reason for starting it is the extreme power interests of Prachanda, Madhav Nepal and Sher Bahadur. KP Sharma Oli is equally responsible.

Dwarika Nath Dhungel

  • Thousands of Nepalis earned their high degrees in the former Soviet Union – many in today’s Ukraine and Russia. One would expect deeper independent insights beyond those offered by BBC, CNN or RT. Yet no one is weighing in.
