Kathmandu, 21 November: The Spokesperson of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party Vijay Sonkar Shastri has said that Nepal is a Hindu nation and will remain so in the future too. “Nepal was a Hindu nation, it is a Hindu nation and it will remain so in future too,” he told reporters in Pokhara.
He claims that even though the constitution of Nepal calls it a secular state, looking at the social system here, it is a Hindu nation. Looking at the social system, one cannot say that it is not a Hindu nation, ”said Shastri.
He came to Nepal on October 30 and traveled to Kathmandu, Janakpur and Pokhara to participate in various programs related to Hinduism.
