Academicians and intellectuals have expressed doubt on fact-finding from the ongoing population census. They believe that the present census is influenced and guided by some Christian organizations and the main intention of the census is to reduce the population having Hindu belief and Nepali speaking population.
Religions belonging to the Sanatan Hindu family have been kept under different religions, which is a conspiracy, they believe.
