The Indian security has faced a heavy casualty from the Indian Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh.
At least 22 Indian security personnel were killed and 32 wounded in a major Maoist attack on Saturday.
The Indian officials had facilitated in inking a 12-point agreement by bringing together the rebellion leaders of India sponsored “people’s war” in Nepal and the then seven parliamentarian parties in the process of restoration of “loktantra”.
Why not the Indians apply the very formula to bring the Indian Maoists into mainstream politics!
How long can NAC fly?
The Nepal Airlines Corporation has decided either to dispose or lease the aircraft bought from China due to a lack of efficient management. Along with disposing of China-made aircraft, NAC has planned to procure around half a dozen stall aircraft.
There is a huge amount of commission while procuring new aircraft. Therefore, the drama of disposal and procurement is staged in NAC.
Considering poor management in the Corporation, flying wide-body aircraft is beyond the capacity of the Airlines. With the commission attraction, the Airlines bought two narrow-body and two wide-body aircraft on loan. Now, reports state that the loan burden has already reached around 47 billion rupees as the Airlines was unable to pay regular installments.
Now, along with the Airlines, the investors have also been ruined.
For how long the national flag carrier can fly with such a corrupt management!
The crocodile tears
Baburam Bhattarai expressed extreme sorrow over receiving 12 dead bodies of Nepali youths brought from foreign countries at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday.
Who is responsible for compelling our youths to go abroad for dirty and risky jobs?
Of course, the 10-year-long “people’s war”, closure of government-owned factories by abducting employment opportunity of the youths, bad governance, rampant corruption, daylight loot by the political leaders are the reasons that youth are going abroad seeking a job.

Distorting the history
Political leaders and their workers are in a race for claiming credit for bringing water from the Melamchi river. In a pressurised manner, they are hesitant to name King Birendra who had developed the plan to initiate the Melamchi Drinking Water Project five decades ago. A detailed feasibility study was conducted during his tenure. Later, the government led by Krishna Prasad Bhattarai had endorsed the project. Finally, a deal was made between the Asian Development Bank and the Nepal government to construct the project at half of the budget than now. It took more than a decade to complete the project due to the vested interests of the political parties in the government.
Again, The federation of Nepali Journalists observed its 66th anniversary this month. FNJ has recognized Krishna Prasad Bhattarai as its first president.
The fact is different. According to the record published in the Nepalko Patrakaritako Itahas by Ramraja Poudel, Sattyanarayan Bahadur Shrestha is the first president of the Nepal Patrakar Sangh established in 2008 B.S.. Premraj Sharma was the vice president, Bhojraj Neupane was the secretary, Ramhari Joshi was the treasurer and Ramraja Poudel was the co-secretary of the Organisation.
Narayan Prasad Upadhaya, Devendraraj Sharma, Bhimbhakta Joshi and Prakashchandra Tandan were the executive members.
Later, Grishma Prasad Devkota has also confirmed it in Nepalko Rajnitik Darpan.
So far, a Nepali journalist delegation was invited by the then USSR to visit Moscow. In the process of preparing a list of journalists to be included in the visiting list, the then NC government had stated Bhattarai as the president of the Nepal Journalists Association three years later in 2011 BS.
In the government prepared list of journalists visiting Moscow, Fattebahadur Singh was mentioned as the vice president, Maniraj Sharma as the secretary, Sriram Singh as the undersecretary and Udayaraj Shastri as the treasurer.
Hirdayachandra Singh Pradhan, Sharada Regmi and Raj Bahadur Mishra were included as the executive member in the Organisation.
This is an example that how history has been distorted by Nepali journalists!

- It seems that all the parties in the parliament except the PM’s group do not have confidence in the PM, but those parties are not ready for a no-confidence motion including the new PM candidate. The parliamentary system failed in our ‘politics’. The best alternate system could be a directly elected executive.
