Kathmandu, 22 May : Anil Choudhary of Aurahi-1 of Mahottari district has been shot dead as he had received a death sentence for the murder. This is the first time that Qatar has implemented a death sentence to a Nepali national. Chaudharry was arrested in the first week of April in 2017 in connection with murder of a Quatari citizen.
The family of the victim had rejected the offer of blood money by Chaudhary. The Nepali embassy was informed about the execution of death penalty a day earlier and immediately Nepal embassy had written to the Ministry of Foreign Affiaris of Qatar not to implement it, according to Kantipur daily.
