Kathmandu, 5 October: Senior leaders from the Communist Party of Nepal have initiated secret meeting to oust Inspector General of Nepal Police Sarbendra Khanal, reports Karobar daily.
IGP Khanal is alleged for not being able to keep intact the Nepal Police administration, unable to identify murderer of Nirmala Pant and unable to punish criminals involved in rape, murder and acid attack cases, unable to check black marketing, among others.
A section of senior leaders in the ruling party is lobbying for dismissing IGP Khanal from the responsibility, otherwise, transferring him to the post of the PM’s security advisor, according to a highly placed source, reports the daily.
