
Kathmandu, September 4: With the full support of China Southern Airlines, the first batch of 6000 medical body bags from the China Foundation for Rural Development arrived in Kathmandu on September 3. These aid supplies, all donated by caring Chinese enterprises and individuals, mainly include 175 tents, 1,000 quilts, 1,000 cotton coats, 1,000 emergency humanitarian relief boxes, and 6,000 medical body bags, totaling 27 tons and valued at over one million yuan.
Upon arrival, the foundation will transport the supplies to the Rasuwa disaster area as directed by NDRRMA, to ensure basic food, clothing, housing, and transportation for affected residents, and to support local rescue and emergency response teams in the safe, proper, and dignified handling of victims’ remains.
