Bhotekoshi flood: 1,127 bodies recovered

Kathmandu: Nepal Police has released the latest details of the ongoing search and rescue operation following the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.

According to data recorded as of 8:00 am today, a total of 1,127 bodies have been recovered from the flood.

Of the bodies recovered, 31 were boys, 45 were girls, 227 were women, and 397 were men.

Police also said 427 partial human remains have been recovered.

Postmortem documentation has been completed for 1,113 of the recovered bodies, while 95 bodies have been handed over to their families. The identities of 911 victims have yet to be established.

The number of people still missing after the flood remains high. According to police data, 4,858 people are still unaccounted for.

In addition, authorities have received phone reports that another 1,350 people are missing.
