
Kathmandu Aug 29: Yadav Bhandari, an immigration officer at the Immigration Office in Timure, Rasuwa, has died in the Bhotekoshi flood.
Bhandari, who had previously served as chief administrative officer of Satyawati Rural Municipality in Gulmi, was confirmed to have died after being caught in the flood.
The 37-year-old Bhandari, who had moved from Gulmi and was living in Susta Rural Municipality 1 of Nawalparasi, was known as a dedicated and hard-working civil servant.
He went missing after the flood struck while he was on duty at the immigration office. His body was found in Nawalparasi after an extensive search.
His elder brother, Chudamani, identified the body after it was brought to Pokhara.
