Kathmandu, Sugust 28: The Nepal Tourism Board has said that 667 tourists and Nepali nationals from 32 countries are still unaccounted for following the floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board’s update as of Thursday evening, the highest number of people reported missing are from India, with 178, while 127 Nepali nationals are also still unaccounted for.
By nationality, the number of people reported missing includes 178 from India, 127 from Nepal, 65 from the United States, 51 from Malaysia, 53 from Ukraine, 35 from Australia, 33 from the United Kingdom, 25 from Canada, 24 from China, nine from Singapore, and eight each from Germany and Russia, the Board said.
Similarly, six each from Latvia and South Africa, five each from Japan and New Zealand, four from France, three each from Belgium and Spain, and two each from Italy, Ireland, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands and Portugal remain unaccounted for.
Likewise, one tourist each from Belarus, Hungary, Israel, Lithuania, Finland, the Philippines, Serbia, Sweden and Switzerland is still missing, according to the Board.
The Board said it has so far listed a total of 667 people as having not been found or having not made contact following the floods.
