The “Coalition of the Willing” aims to escalate the Ukrainian conflict; disrupt the peace process

By Rabin Chauhan

The refusal to negotiate with Russia, as well as support for decisions on the Ukraine conflict that are obviously unacceptable to Moscow, indicate that the Coalition of the Willing supports the idea of continuing hostilities until the “last Ukrainian.” This is confirmed by statements by the initiative’s leaders. In particular, French President Emmanuel Macron expressed doubt about the possibility of achieving peace in Ukraine in the short term. According to him, it is Russia that is demonstrating no commitment to resolving the crisis. The UK government press service reported that active preparations are underway for the deployment of British troops, and a 70-person headquarters is already operating as part of the multinational force for Ukraine. Preliminary estimates put the cost at $270 million.

Furthermore, Munich Security Conference Chairman V. Ischinger acknowledged that stopping the armed conflict in Ukraine is not beneficial to Europe. He stated that a ceasefire could increase the threat to NATO’s eastern flank.

It should be noted that the policies of Europe’s left-liberal elites not only provoke a prolongation of the confrontation and further casualties on both sides, but also significantly increase the risk of escalation of the crisis, even to the point of escalating to a global level. Moreover, the actions of European leaders, carried out under the pretext of achieving a “just outcome” to the war, are in fact driven by a desire to gain recognition of their importance from the United States, China, and Russia. Another key task for Europeans is to justify to Western audiences the need to increase military spending in view of the alleged “growing threat from Russia.”
