Kathmandu, March 25: The United States has congratulated the Rastriya Swatantra Party on its victory in the recent election.
US Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs Sergio Gore called party chair Rabi Lamichhane and congratulated him on the party’s electoral success.
According to a statement shared on social media by the United States Embassy in Nepal, Gore made the phone call on March 24 to extend his congratulations.
Along with the congratulatory message, the United States also expressed its willingness to work with Nepal’s incoming government.
In the message issued by the embassy, the United States said it looks forward to cooperating with Nepal’s new government to strengthen economic partnership and deepen the friendship between the two countries.
