Make Gen Z protest report public immediately, NC demands

Kathmandu, March 25: Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has urged the government to immediately make public the report of the Gen Z Movement Investigation Commission.

Speaking at the ongoing Central Working Committee meeting of the party at its central office in Sanepa, Thapa called on the government to release the report and ensure its full implementation without delay.

He said those responsible for human rights violations during the Gen Z uprising on September 9 and 10, 2025, must face action. Thapa added that the next government should also take steps to seek the truth about the incidents and ensure justice.

“The report prepared by the commission led by Gauri Bahadur Karki should have been made public even before the election. We want the government’s position on this. The report must be released immediately, and it must also be implemented,” Thapa said.

Thapa warned that if those who misuse state power and spread violence are not held accountable, the country could face the same situation again.
