KATHMANDU, March 23: The Nepali Congress Central Working Committee has declined the resignation submitted by party President Gagan Kumar Thapa.

A meeting of the committee at the party’s central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur, decided not to accept the resignation he had tendered on March 17, Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal said.

Dulal said the committee refused to accept the move, pointing to the party’s responsibility to organize its 15th general convention.
