Kathmandu, January 16: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah has slammed the federal government after the promulgation of the land ordinance. Mayor Balen criticized the federal government by writing a status on social outlet “X” on Wednesday.
Now the ordinance has been passed to distribute not only the river but also Tundikhel (open public ground) and Open Theater to the party workers,” Balen wrote.
In the name of managing land for the squatters, the government has decided to distribute government land to them by issuing the ordinance.
The NC-UML government intends to exploit the government land and forests in the name of distributing land to the squatters. The government, with the fear of opposition, has escaped the House and issued an ordinance on the issue.
