Kathmandu, July 15: UML chairman KP Sharma Oli has taken oath as Prime Minister.
President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed Prime Minister Oli during a special ceremony held at Sheetal Niwas.
On Friday night, with the support of 88 MPs of the Congress, Oli submitted the Prime Minister’s claim in accordance with Article 76 (2) of the Constitution. The Congress-UML alliance is also supported by JSP, Janmat Party, JSP Nepal, LSP, and Nagarik Unmukti Party.
Oli enjoys a two-thirds majority in Parliament.
