
Kathmandu, June 10: Newly appointed Union Minister of India S. Jaishankar paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal who was on an official visit to India.
Minister Jaishankar went to the Hotel Taj where Prime Minister Dahal was staying, and discussed bilateral issues between Nepal and India. The meeting was based on bilateral relations, cooperation and the implementation of past agreements and understandings.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Dahal congratulated Jaishankar on his appointment as the Minister of India and wished him well for his tenure. He expressed his belief that the mutual and people-to-people relations between the two countries will become stronger in the coming days.
Minister Jaishankar thanked Prime Minister Dahal and the Government of Nepal for participating in the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He informed that the Government of India is serious about the implementation of agreements and understandings between the two countries and satisfactory progress is being made.
