Kathmandu, May 7: Madhav Nepal, chairman of the Ekikrit Samajwadi Party, was surprised by the split in the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal led by Upendra Yadav.
Immediately after the split of the JSPN , with the fear of a possible split in his party, called the parliamentary party meeting on Monday, May 6.
At the meeting, members of Parliament criticized the role of the leadership. They remarked that due to the role of the leadership, the party’s image has declined.
Finally, Nepal, addressing the meeting, said that his party will continue in the ruling alliance.
Earlier, a gentleman agreement was made among Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba, JSPN chairman Yadav and Nepal for becoming the prime minister turn by turn after the formation of an alternative alliance against the present alliance.
They were in frequent close consultations, however, the split in the JSPN has given a strong blow to the dream of becoming the PM for Yadav and Nepal.
