Kathmandu, May 6: Madhav Nepal, chairman of Ekikrit Samajwadi Party (ESP), has called a meeting of the parliamentary party today. The meeting of the parliamentary party is going to be held at the Parliament House in Naya Baneshwar at 1 pm today.
According to leader Rajendra Pandey, the role played by the MPs of the party will be discussed in the budget session of Parliament. The budget session of Parliament is starting from May 10. The meeting called amid new political events after the JSP split is seen as meaningful.
ESP and JSP were planning to quit the government bringing down the present coalition into a minority.
Madhav Nepal was in consultation with Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba for joining the next coalition and becoming the prime minister. After a split in the JSP, the possibility of Nepal joining the new coalition and becoming the prime minister ended, moreover, the possibility of a split in the ESP was also witnessed. With the fear of a split in the party, Nepal called the parliamentary party meeting in a hurry.
