Kathmandu, April 18: US Ambassador Dean Thomson visited Northern Gorkha on the Nepal-Tibetan border. He visited Samagaun, Samdo and Barpak of Chumnubri Rural Municipality on Tuesday morning (April 16).
Ambassador Thampan along with Rajendra Bajgain, a member of the House of Representatives elected from Gorkha-1, reached Gorkha. Bajagain is a Nepali Congress lawmaker.
Ambassador Thomson interacted with the locals on the impact of climate change in the mountainous region and the new possibilities of tourism development in the Manaslu area, said Karma Chewang, ward chair of Chumnubri-1.
