Government planning to end parliament session

Kathmandu, April 12: As the main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), and another opposition party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), have been jointly obstructing the House meeting daily demanding the constitution of a parliamentary probe commission against the alleged involvement of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, Rabi Lamichhane, the alliance partners in the government are thinking about ending the ongoing spring session of Parliament soon.

Around two dozen important bills are waiting for final approval from the House to become the law of the nation, due to the continuous obstruction of the House meeting, they are impending. The alliance partners, by ending the Parliament session, are thinking about issuing ordinances from the President as a temporary action.

The Nepali Congress has made its prestige to sabotage the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) with the plan of paralyzing the coalition government. However, the UML and the Maoist Center are defending Rabi’s case and saying that the Nepali Congress is taking revenge against Lamichhane to paralyze the government, otherwise, why didn’t it raise the issue when it was in the government?

Meanwhile, the RPP, since Tuesday, after the government used excessive force to suppress the RPP demonstration, has started demanding the resignation of Lamichhane, Home Minister.
