Kathmandu, January 14: The Nepal China Media Forum has expressed solidarity with the “One China Principle”.
In a statement issued by Kishor Shrestha, chairman of the Nepal-China Media Forum, it is stated that as Nepal endorses the One-China Principle, the recent so-called election in the Taiwan region has caused concern among Nepalese citizens, media, and those dedicated to fostering friendship and people-to-people relationships between Nepal and China.
“Nepal has always upheld the One-China Principle. We reiterate that the Taiwan question is China’s internal affair, and we recognize only one China in the world.”
“We support the Government of the People’s Republic of China as the sole legal government representing the whole of China and affirm that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory. Consequently, we strongly oppose “Taiwan independence”.”
“Therefore, we consistently stand in support of China’s complete reunification and look forward to its continued prosperity”, it is stated in the statement issued on Saturday, January 13.
