To what extent are those foreign-paid media biased against the nation’s glory, which is reflected by the blackout of an important event in the local media run under vested foreign interests!
Recently, former Crown Princess Himani Shah was honoured with a prestigious Gusi Peace International Award 2023 in Manila, Philippines, for her remarkable humanitarian works through the Himani Trust. This report is intentionally blacked out by the local media.
The Gusi Peace Prize International, situated in the capital city of the Philippines, acknowledges individuals and organizations worldwide who contribute significantly across a wide variety of fields for global peace and progress. The prize is referred to in Presidential Proclamation No. 1476 signed by President Gloria Macapagal, Arroyo, declaring every fourth Wednesday of November as the ‘Gusi Peace Prize International Friendship Day’. It was founded by chairman Barry Gusi as a way to continue the work of his late father, Gemeniano Javier Gusi.
For this year’s award, the approval for former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and former UNESCO Director Irina Bokova had been sought, but both were unable to receive the award.
This year, 20 distinguished individuals from 19 countries including Hungary, Macedonia, Spain, America, Indonesia, China, Sweden, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Syria, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Mongolia, Liechtenstein, Nepal, Russia, Greece, and Vietnam have been honored with this award. Two individuals from America received the award this year, while the President of Liechtenstein also received it.
