Geopolitical Realities

EDITORIAL

Nepal exists between two huge countries with huge economies. China is heading to become the largest economy shortly, whereas India is already the fifth largest economy. Until now, China is the largest population, whereas, India is going to occupy this position keeping China behind. Nepal’s remaining poor country in between the two largest economies and the two largest populations is odd. How to make the economy prosperous, is a compulsion for us. Unfortunately, our non-visionary politicos have no time to think about it. They are just watching the next election – Mission ‘27 – as it is taking place in 2027.

Political instability is the gift of the Western strategy. The West wants unstable politics and a ruined economy so that Nepali politicos, academicians, scholars, journalists, high-ranking bureaucrats, security officials, and judges, among others, can be purchased by paying a nominal price. Political instability in Nepal is necessary for the West to play against India and China. India, perhaps, is happy with the increasing influence of the West in Nepal and poking China from Nepal, however, after destroying the Nepali civilization, the West will move towards north and south, which should be understood by both countries. Both the neighbouring countries should understand that strong and self-reliant Nepal can stand as the security wall between the two giant nations. Both nations should be convinced that the present political system will never allow Nepal to bring political stability and economic prosperity and unstable Nepal can always be a threat to both neighbours. The Nepali population have already realized that the present political system is non-functional and not in the interests of Nepal and the Nepali people, it cannot safeguard national sovereignty and independence. People are urging the dethroned monarch to come back to the Palace. Wherever the King visits, a human sea appears urging, “Come, King, Save the Nation!” The West-funded media have blackout such events, thanks to the social networks, from where people could be able to watch video clippings of these events. More significant is the gathering of the local Newar community in the fort of the Nepal Majdoor Kishan Party led by pro-republican communist leader Narayanman Bijukche. People have lost their hopes on the present day political parties that they will do better for the nation and the people. They are seeking a greater alliance among the patriotic forces for scrapping the present political system.
