BABBLES

Mayor Balen (Balendra) Shah said those thieves were in Singhadurwar. Sometime back, RPP chair Rajendra Lingden remarked that commoners believe political leaders are thieves.
Meanwhile, we saw the Lalitaniwas government land grab scam, the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, the Balmandir land grab scam, the gold smuggling scam, and many more scams. We have seen strong political protection while organizing such planned scandals.
We are convinced that this loktantra is loottantra, and political culprits involved in the planned corruption get impunity, whereas, those civil servicemen, who just obey the order from their political boss get punished.
Not a prime minister but a paid worker!
Noted journalist Dhruba H. Adhikary has quoted Nepal Communist Party’s responsible leader Rishi Kattel, “He is not the prime minister, just India’s paid worker.”
Adhikary has further expressed a curiosity: when those recognized communist leaders believe so, how long will it take to know about the PM for those non-communists?
The fact
In the Nepali media sector, one assumption has been established: if those “12 brothers” write positive things about anybody, we should understand that the person is foreign-paid and serving foreign interests. If the media run by those 12 brothers condemns anybody, he should be patriotic and concerned about the Nepali people’s future.
Serving foreign interests
Our academicians and experts opine that Nepal should
produce electricity for domestic consumption. Nepal should develop markets for
the consumption of more electricity in the domestic market rather than
exporting it at a cost below the production cost. Our well-wishers also believe
that Nepal should develop a domestic market for the consumption of electricity
by replacing imports of petroleum products.
Nepal can establish industries consuming a huge amount of electricity such as fertilizer factories and silver-producing factories, among others. We can encourage the operation of advanced cable cars instead of investing in roads in remote mountain settlements.
We can transform this country by making more investments in the hydropower sector and supplying electricity to our industries at low prices. Unfortunately, our leaders talk about earning money by exporting electricity to India that too at a very low price. In fact, we will contribute to further industrialization of India by providing low-priced electricity. The question is whether our leaders are keen on building the nation. The leaders should also understand the value of water, which, nature has gifted us free of cost.
Changing global economic scenario
Statistics show the following economic scenario:
USA debt: $32.8 trillion
USA GDP: $26.85 trillion
UK debt: $3.28 trillion
UK GDP: $3.16 trillion
Russia debt: $288 billion
Russia GDP: $2.06 trillion
Debt above the GDP is considered as a bad economy,
according to the economists.
QUOTES OF THE WEEK
Are there any friends left for Nepal today? It seems that the harmonious Nepal-China relations established by Sardar Gunjman Singh, Prime Minister Tank Prasad Acharya, King Mahendra, and Prime Minister Bisweswar Prasad Koirala with Chairman Mao, Premier Zhou Enlai, and Foreign Minister Chen Yi have reached a state of collapse.
Because of the difference in the words and behavior of the current Nepalese leaders, who are said to be followers of Mao and wish to call themselves Maoists, China also thinks that the country called Nepal is not trustworthy. Otherwise, the new map of Nepal would not have been neglected.
India has always been for weakening Nepal and is concentrated on bringing Nepal under its security umbrella and exploiting its natural resources. Now people have started saying that Nepal should abandon the non-aligned foreign policy that it has adopted.

It is difficult to save Nepal from Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. As long as he is the Prime Minister, Delhi is confident. Dahal is the person who understands Delhi’s strategy to bring Nepal under its rule more than us. He is such a devotee of Delhi.
Madan Regmi
The inevitability of monarchy for a country like Nepal is being proven more than ever. If we want to keep Nepal independent and indivisible, and if we consider ourselves to be true nationalists, we must preserve the monarchy.
Rajendra Lingden
After the year 2047 BS, we abandoned King Birendra declared zone of peace proposal. It has now become clear how big a mistake we have committed.
Bal Mukunda Dev Pandey
What kind of republic is this? There is a danger of losing power if the government takes action against the criminals. This is a journey towards socialism by joining hands with criminals.
Rajesh Ahiraj
It is not necessary to study the history of the whole world to know where the ethnic federal state will lead the country.
It can be clearly understood by looking at the federalism of the African country of Ethiopia. A federal ethnic state does not produce any results except murder, violence, and killings in the country.
Lal Bogati
Do not be upset, gentlemen! Parliament does not have supremacy in Nepal. The supremacy is only with the constitution. All the alliances made by the government or parliament may not be right. What is right or wrong? The court has done its job perfectly. The wrongdoer should not speak loudly.
Bipin Adhikari
This is the issue: how to build infrastructure to increase electricity consumption in the country. If the $500 million grant from MCC was spent to build infrastructure for increasing consumption of electricity within the country, it could be a good effort.
Constructing infrastructure to export electricity to India at subsidized rates cannot be justified.
Ratna Sansar Shrestha
What is the reaction of the Nepali Congress and its responsible leaders to the news of the police officers’ transfer, who were investigating corruption, under the pressure of the Congress leader? Just like the democratic and nationalist sides got bogged down in self-interest, the anti-corruption side is also going to be bogged down!
Lokesh Dhakal
Inciting conflict and violence is extremely bad politics. It is the quality of a politician to be able to take sensible steps in time to prevent possible violence.
Sharad Raj Pathak
The national flag of Nepal is not waving on the moon, but for centuries, the moon and the sun have been waving on it.
Sujit K.C.
If the republicanism will function like this, it will not last long.

We Nepalis and our leaders are brave and honest towards foreigners but we are cowards and dishonest to the extent of our nation, religion and society.
Keshav Prasad Bhattarai
Nepal was the fifth largest rice exporting country in the world during the reign of King Mahendra (this was discussed in detail in my book “North-South Cooperation and Foreign Aid in Nepal” published in 1994). Today we have no food to eat, the fields are barren, and there is no fertilizer. We cannot even buy them and bring them.
By giving fertilizer to the farmers, the rural condition of Nepal will be prosperous within a year. Why should you stay in the government if you can’t even give fertilizer to the farmers? Even Nepalese eat bread if they don’t have rice, but give up foreign dependence.
During the 60s, in China, there was no food to eat, they ate the bark of trees but did not beg, and did not take help from other countries, and today it has become a powerful country in the world. We did not understand that begging has made us lazy and worthless. Neither can we make eye contact with the donors nor protect national interests. Wake up, young friends!
Rambhakta Thakur
Is there any leader who is acceptable for all castes and languages? That’s why I believe that there should be an institution that everyone believes in. When the country is in crisis, the king always stands as a crisis reliever. There is a history that when the king suffers, the country suffers.
