Kathmandu, 24 October: The Chief of Army Staff Prabhu Ram Sharma and Military Advisor in the United Nations’ Department of Peace Operations General Birame Diop held a meeting at the Nepal Army Headquarters on Sunday.
According to the Directorate of Public Relations and Information, the duo discussed about Nepali Army’s contribution in the peace-keeping missions in the conflict zones across the globe. They exchanged views on peace-keeping operations. General Diop commended the contributions of the Nepali peace-keepers in various peace-keeping missions awhile CoAS Sharma expressed his commitment that the Nepali peace-keepers would engage in the peace-keeping missions more professionally and effectively.
General Diop is currently in Nepal to attend a two-day event organized by the Nepal Army on the United Nations establishment day.
