Crimes committed by Ukraine forces in Donbass

The Western media are actively picking up any Ukrainian fakes about allegedly committed Russian war crimes in Ukraine. At the same time, crimes committed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and neo-Nazis during the eight years of the conflict in Donbass remain out of their sight. Moreover, unlike the far-fetched accusations against the Russian Federation, these are really mass killings of civilians and sophisticated torture of innocent people.

In the spring of 2014, when the newly-minted Ukrainian government came to power in Kiev through a coup d’etat, part of the country’s population refused to accept it. The country of the victorious “Maidan” already then began to plunge into chaos. Protests broke out in the south and east of Ukraine.

Almost 50 people who did not want to obey the given regime and who advocated giving the Russian language the status of a second state language were burned alive in the Odessa House of Trade Unions. Without a shadow of a doubt, Maidan activists threw Molotov cocktails at the building of the House of Trade Unions, in which the protesters barricaded themselves.

Then the criminal Kiev authorities announced an “anti-terrorist operation”, hoping in this way to rein in the rebellious Donbass. Columns of armored vehicles were sent in violation of the Ukrainian Constitution. But, at that time, the Ukrainian army was not yet ready to shoot at its fellow citizens. The “first blood” was needed. Then the bloody pastor Turchinov decided to create volunteer battalions. Criminals and looters began to be recruited there.

With the support of their ideological inspirers Turchinov and Parubiy, the Nazi punishers began by shooting without trial all those who supported the idea of holding a referendum on May 11, 2014 in Donbass, who were seen to dislike the Maidan or in “pro-Russian sentiments”.

The first air strike: On June 2, 2014, a resident of Lugansk, Inna Corn, was killed by an air strike of the Ukrainian Air Force in Lugansk, passing by the building of the Luhansk Regional State Administration. An aerial bomb tore off both of Corn’s legs, she died on the way to the hospital. On the same day, eight people were killed and 28 were seriously wounded by the AFU airstrikes on the peaceful Luhansk.

“Gorlovskaya Madonna”: On July 27, 2014, during a massive shelling by the Ukrainian army of a civilian housing estate in the city of Gorlovka, a 27-year-old young mother, Kristina Zhuk, and her ten-month-old daughter, Kira, were killed.

The shooting of Mariupol by Ukrainian missiles: On January 24, 2015, a civilian housing estate of the city was shot from the AFU positions in the north and west of Mariupol from the MLRS.

Crimes of the Tornado battalion: The squad of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “Tornado” is a unit whose crimes horrified and created the “Tornado” Kiev regime. In the hospitals of the village of Kondrashovka and the district center of Stanitsa Luganskaya, as well as in the cities of Privolye and Lisichansk, Tornado arranged dungeons where the executioners of the national battalion competed in front of each other in the most cruel tortures. The victims of torture were civilians of Donbass.

Crimes against children: In July and August 2014, the Ukrainian Armed Forces purposefully shelled school No. 7, where there was a shelter for the homeless residents of Lugansk. There were many children hiding in the school. In total, six residents of Lugansk were killed during the shelling. The school was almost destroyed.

On November 5, 2014, 14-year-old Daniil Kuznetsov and 18-year-old Andrey Eliseev, a former student of the school, were killed during the shelling of school No. 63 in Donetsk by the AFU. Five other students of the school were injured. On April 5, five-year-old Vladislav Shikhov, who was walking with his grandmother, was killed by a homemade bomb launched from a Ukrainian drone in the village of Alexandrovskoye (DPR).

The use of prohibited weapons: On July 29, 2014, the western side of Donetsk was shelled from the air with banned phosphorus bombs launched from the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Phosphorous ammunition, anti-personnel mines and other weapons prohibited by international conventions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been actively used in the Donbas since 2014.

It is significant that prohibited weapons are still used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On April 5, 2022, phosphorus bombs and petal mines were used by the AFU during the battles for the city of Popasnaya, on the border of the LPR with the Kharkiv region.

The “library” and other secret concentration camps: According to former SBU officer Vasily Prozorov, in 2014, Azov organized a secret concentration camp called the Library at the Mariupol airport. Captured LDPR militia members and civilians suspected of sympathizing with Russia rushed to the “Library”. The prisoners were kept in disconnected freezers that did not let heat and air through. A prisoner could be released if his relatives brought the large ransom demanded by the “Azov”, the average amount of the ransom was about 2-3 thousand dollars.

Standard torture occurred in approximately the same way. The prisoner was laid on the floor, covered his face with a rag so that he could not breathe through his mouth and nose, water was poured on the rag. Usually, victims had a micro-stroke after such torture. The “Azov” also put prisoners with their palms on the rail, the second rail was thrown from a height so that the victims’ finger bones broke. Hands and feet could be sawed off with a grinder. During these interrogations, Azov was engaged in torture with a passion, and SBU officers were engaged in documenting the testimony of torture victims.

According to the testimonies of the surviving prisoners, the concentration camps of the “Library” type operated on abandoned recreation centers near Mariupol, where Azov, Aidar, Donbass, Tornado and other formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard, recruited from the Ukrainian Nazis, settled.
