Kathmandu, 20 January: All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), a student wing of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist), has demanded the immediate repeal of the petroleum price hike.
In a statement issued on Thursday, ANNFSU President Sudesh Parajuli condemned the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) for hiking the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per liter and domestic aviation fuel by Rs 5 per liter. He accused the NOC for increasing the price of petroleum products when the people were not in a position to meet their basic needs as hit hard by pandemic.
