Kathmandu, 3 November: Though the hearing on habeas corpus petitions was held on Monday, the Supreme Court (SC) could not proceed with hearing on any case on Tuesday.
Chief Justice (CJ) Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana on Tuesday had announced six benches for hearing habeas corpus petitions. Of them, four were joint benches and two others were single but none of the benches could convene. The SC Judges have been boycotting the benches since last Sunday seeking resignation of the CJ as concerns were raised about his claim in power sharing in the Cabinet.
