Kathmandu, 30 August: Sri Lankan Airlines is operating direct flights to Kathmandu from tomorrow. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has approved Sri Lankan Airlines flights effective from August 31. The direct flight between island nation and Himalayan nation is expected to boost Buddhist pilgrimage between the two countries. The airlines, taking to twitter has lured the travelers by the slogan: Bask in the spirituality of Kathmandu.
The national carrier of Sri Lanka will operate two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays using 158-seater Airbus 320 aircraft.
