Kathmandu, 21 August: The Construction of the 216MegaWatt Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project has started. The project is situated in Rasuwa district. Some 200 workers are engaged in construction works, according to Project engineer.
It may be noted that , the Upper Trisuli-1 is the largest Hydro power project to be constructed with formed direct investment and the generated power to be used for domestic consumption. The promotors of the project are Nepal-Water and Energy Development Company, Korea South East Power Company Limited and The International Finance Cooperation.
