Kathmandu, 29 July: The number of active members in the Nepali Congress (NC) stands at 852,711, according to the report prepared by the Committee formed to investigate the active membership issue in the party.
The Committee submitted its report to the office-bearers and former office-bearers on Thursday, 12 days later than the stipulated deadline. Ramesh Lekhak, the coordinator of the Committee handed over the report to President Sher Bahadur Deuba. Lekhak said that 409,033 active members had renewed their membership while 443,678 general members received the active membership.
