Kathmandu, 25 July: Nepal has received a formal proposal for hosting the SAFF Football Championship.
The member countries in South Asia have decided to organize the 13th SAFF in October. Nepal is proposed for hosting the game, said the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
It is almost sure that only five teams from the region are taking part in the SAFF Championship this year. As Pakistan is facing restrictions from FIFA and Bhutan has not allowed going abroad its citizens due to the surge on the Covid-19, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka are the countries participating in the Championship.
Meanwhile, the Nepali team’s chief instructor Abdullah Almutairi has announced tendering resignation due to the difference with an ANFA official.
