Kathmandu, 23 July: With regard to change the schedule of the 14th General Convention, the Nepali Congress has started discussion.During a meeting of the NC office-bearers and former office-bearers held today, discussion was held to change the convention schedule on the slated time.
Party’s Central Election Committee and Active Membership Investigation Committee Coordinators presented the preliminary reports in the meeting. The meeting of the party office-bearers to be held again on Saturday might take decision regarding changes in general convention schedule. The NC had set a deadline of July 14 to submit the list of active members to the Central Election Committee . It is confirmed that the general convention schedule would be affected as there is still dispute on the issue of active membership in some districts. The party had decided to hold 14th General Convention in Kathmandu from September 1-4.
