Kathmandu, 16 July: It is a great pleasure for us to inform our valued readers that the print edition of the People’s Review English weekly has entered into the 31 years of its publication.
It is obvious to face difficulties when trying to walk anti-current however with the strong support of our valued readers and contributors, we have been able to travel the three-decade-long journey of its publication successfully. Today, we have been able to establish our identity in advocating patriotism and democracy at a time when we have been witnessing rampant foreign interference, foreigners’ micromanagement, border encroachment, destroying Nepali civilization, among others.
In the course of the above five-decad-long journalism, I have personally experienced that on the one hand, there is money and luxury life while becoming a journalist, on the other, there is a struggle only in this profession. If one wishes to serve foreigners’ interests, the life of a journalist could be beautiful. However, we chose the difficult part in serving the nation as much as we can.
Nevertheless, with the strong support from our patriotic readers, we have been able to show our strong presence in the field of Nepali journalism.
Since we started the Online edition in 1997 <peoplesreview.com.np>, our voice is being reached globally. Since we are in the international media platforms <newspaperdirect.com> and <asianet.com> our electronic readerships have also increased significantly.
Sure, without encouragement from our readers and support from our valued advertisers and contributors, we could not accomplish our mission of three decades. On this occasion, we wish to extend thanks to all our readers, advertisers and contributors. We are hopeful that we will continue to receive the very support in the days to come as well.
