Kathmandu, 17 May: The number of the death-toll from the deadly Corona virus has reached 5,215 with 214 fatalities reported today, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Monday the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 9,247 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the latest addition, the number of infected persons has reached 4,64,218.
Kathmandu district recorded 2,346 infection cases, Lalitpur 454 and Bhaktapur district recorded 298 cases according to the MoHP. Today 5,767 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 3,55,223. As of today, there are 113,480 active cases of infection across the country.
