Kathmandu, 16 May: The number of the death-toll from the deadly virus has reached 5,001 with 145 fatalities reported today, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Sunday the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 7,368 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the latest addition, the number of infected persons has reached 455,022.
Kathmandu district recorded 1,881 infection cases, Lalitpur 436 and Bhaktapur district recorded 292 cases according to the MoHP. Today 6,648 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 339,756. As of today, there are 110,263 active cases of infection across the country.
