Kathmandu, 30 April: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Friday the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 5,657 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the latest addition, the number of infected persons has reached 323,187.
Kathmandu district recorded 2,404 infection cases, Lalitpur 419 and Bhaktapur district recorded 133 cases according to the MoHP. Today 928 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 281,095. As of today, there are 38,813 active cases of infection across the country.
The number of the death-toll from the deadly virus has reached 3,279 with 33 fatalities reported today, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
