Kathmandu, 10 April: The top leaders of the Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Centre) and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) on Friday held discussions on possible power equation. Janata Samajbadi Party has sought some more time to decide relating to formation of new government.
NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Deuba briefed the leaders about the decisions taken by the central committee of the NC to seek resignation from the Prime Minister and make effort to form the NC-led government thereafter. CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal acknowledged the proposal presented by Deuba in a positive tone. The meeting was attended by NC’s leaders Ram Chandra Poudel, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Bimalendra Nidhi and Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, Shashank Koirala, among others, Likewise, representing the CPN (Maoist Centre) in the meeting were Krishna Bahadur Mahara and Dev Bahadur Gurung and spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha. On behalf of JSP, Chairmen Mahantha Thakur and Upendra Yadav, Federal Council Chair Baburam Bhattarai, leaders Rajendra Mahato and Ashok Rai.
