Kathmandu, 8 April: The 456 Mega Watt Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project has reached final stage of construction and power generation is likely by mid-May.
Major works as intake, tunnel, transmission line, and substation have been completed. There are now minor civil and mechanical works going on under the project according to the Chairperson of Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Ltd, Hitendra Dev Shakya.
The installation of penstock pipe has been over. Embankment/intake, main tunnel, power house, tail race tunnel as part of the major construction have also been completed.
