When the RAW chief was in town, our prime minister performed a red-carpet welcome to him at his official residence in Baluatar. Later, the Indian Army chief paid a visit to Nepal. He was also welcomed by our PM. Again, when the Indian foreign secretary was in town, he also got the opportunity to meet the PM.
Our foreign minister was in Delhi last week in an official visit at the invitation of the Indian government. He didn’t get the opportunity to meet the Indian PM.
Simply, the Indian side didn’t reciprocate the diplomatic norms as per Nepal’s performance. When will our leaders learn about diplomacy and diplomatic protocol?
Non-vegetarian unrest?
Leaders in Prachanda-Nepal camp are in the streets. They are trying to heat the streets after the sudden dissolution of the House of Representatives.
Meanwhile, those frustrated leaders have warned to launch non-vegetarian unrest to topple down Oli since they reached to the street from the government. Of course, those who are launching the non-veg movement are 100 times dangerous than Oli.
Concrete lotus
Kamal Pokhari (lotus pond) has not converted into a concrete pond. We can grow natural lotus in the pond but our mayor Bidhyasundar Shakya decided to grow a concrete lotus.
This is just an example that how our natural heritage is being destroyed!
Load-shedding in Jumla
The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) had announced Nepal as the load-shedding free nation when Kulman Ghishing was the managing director there.
Earlier to Ghishing’s appointment as the MD, the country was facing 18-hour-long load-shedding daily. There was a setting among the NEA staffers to impose load-shedding by diverting electricity to other areas. In fact, the staffers were making money while doing so. Ghishing became successful to break the money-making syndicate.
Again, the Kathmanduits are facing frequent and sudden load-shedding. NEA, however, has denied saying that it is not the load-shedding. Perhaps, NEA is preparing to impose load-shedding again as it has already announced load-shedding in Jumla.
Unfortunate to state, water is being wasted in our rivers and the country is importing electricity from India. Sadly, the NEA is unable to use electricity produced by different hydropower projects due to the delayed construction of the transmission lines.
The NEA is a government authority and, there is the planning section. Even after the start of producing hydropower, why NEA delayed construction of the transmission lines, it is an example of the inefficiency of NEA.
Unless the government will monitor such type of lapses in the government organs and punish those responsible staffers and construction contractors, such a trend will continue. Please mind it.
