NC awakes after Oli’s house dissolution

By Our Reporter

The House dissolution by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been a boon for the Nepali Congress to rebuild its organisations.

The largest party of the past had been in deep slumber after it became a tiny party in the 2017 general elections winning only 63 seats in the 275-mmeber House of Representatives. But the unexpected and unconstitutional House dissolution has not only awakened the party but also energized it to cash in on the division in the ruling Nepal Communist Party. The party has already orgainsed series of protests from constituency level to local levels informing the people about the wrongdoings of the government led by KP Sharma Oli. The party has also planned ward level protest within a few days.

The protest rallies orgainsed from centre to local levels have emerged a suitable platform for the Nepali Congress leaders to inform the people about the corrupt and anti-democratic activities as well as lies of the communists and the government. NC youth leaders like Gagan Thapa, Dhan Raj Gurung, Pradeep Paudel, Bishwa Prakash Sharma, Prakash Man Singh, Navindra Raj Joshi and other leaders like Ram Sharan Mahat, Dr. Shekhar Koirala and even Ram Chandra Paudel have well utilised the forums to mention the bad activities of the NCP and its government.

The protests have revitalized the passive cadres and well wishers of the Nepali Congress, who will play an instrumental role during general elections.
