EDITORIAL
All the Nepalis within the country or abroad are now in a festive mood as their greatest festival, Bada Dasain has already started. Surely, the Covid-19 pandemic has hit all sectors, therefore, we are compelled to celebrate the festival amidst the pandemic by maintaining the health guidelines. Let all remain safe and celebrate the festival.
Goddess Durga had eliminated all the evil forces ensuring the victory of truth. Celebration of Bada Dasain festival is thus based on people’s aspiration for the end of evil and the victory of truth.
We have the government enjoying virtually a two-thirds majority. However, the leaders are fighting for power, rather than fighting to overcome the pandemic. The government has already surrendered stating that it is unable to provide free treatment to the patients infected with the Covid-19.
Even during the pandemic, we are severely suffering from mal-governance, corruption, nepotism, favouritism, sycophancy, among others.
The political leaders who are running the nation have become stooges of foreign powers. Foreign powers are creating a conspiracy to destroy this heavenly country by injecting disharmony among the diverse ethnicities, cultures, languages, religions, etc.. Some sections are even involved in splitting the country. We have adopted such a vague constitution that it will not help in bringing stability, prosperity, unity for the nation.
Intellectuals opine that the present system is not going to function and it will not allow the nation to move forward, rather, it will destroy the nation further. We too believe the same. Whether to see the destruction of a vibrant nation or move for a course correction, this is up to the Nepalis.
May Goddess Durga bless us for a change. May Goddess Durga bless all the Nepalis for positivity, good health, happiness, peace and prosperity and protect this heavenly country from the evils. Happy Dasain!
