Kathmandu, 19 October: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has instructed all its parliamentarians to return Dashain allowance this year.
The former Prime Minister instructed the parliamentarians not to accept the allowance or return if they have already received it so that the government could utilise it for the treatment of Covid-19 patients. Deuba, who is also the NC’s federal parliamentarian party leader, directed the parliamentarians in today’s meeting of the NC’s parliamentary party to return the allowance.
Similarly, NC Chief Whip Bal Krishna Khand informed that the NC would keep up a correspondence with its parliamentarians regarding the return of the Dashain allowance.
