Kathmandu, 1 October: The government has promoted Foreign Secretary Shankar Das Bairagi to the post of Chief Secretary. A Cabinet meeting held today appointed Bairagi as Chief Secretary approving resignation of incumbent Chief Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi.
According to a minister, Regmi has been recommended Nepali ambassador to the United Kingdom and former Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada to the United States of America.
