Kathmandu, 24 September: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has recommended the government to enforce lock down if the active cases of Covid-19 exceed 25,000.
A meeting of the Incident Command System (ICS)under the MoHP made the recommendation to the government on Wednesday, according to MoHP Spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam.
As of Wednesday evening, Nepal’s active cases of corona virus stands at 17,414. The available health resources and infrastructure would not be enough to manage more than 25,000 active cases, therefore, lock down will have to be enforced,ICS officials argue.
