Kathmandu, 7 September: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Sunday the Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed 979 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours, taking the national tally to 47,236.
Among the fresh cases, 326 have been reported from within Kathmandu Valley. Of them, 293 are fro Kathmandu while 20 hailed from Lalitpur and 13 from Bhaktapur.
Today 1,736 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 30,677. As of today, there are 16,259 active cases of infection across the country.
